These are gum bichromate and cyanotype prints. I started working in alternative process photography after I took a gum bichromate workshop taught by artist photographer Diana Bloomfield, , and good friend over the years. It has taken much time learning to grasp the many steps and myriad of issues that pop up and many mistakes made, that I've been able to make some good prints. I have decided to enjoy this process without trying to make perfect prints. That is the best way for me. Whatever I learn and then use somewhat reliably to a degree to make pleasing images makes all the difference as an artist and I am proud to share this work with others. I find joy in making things by hand.
